Etappenbeschreibung von Schwarzwald-Tourismus (von mir angepasst, da hier der Verlauf etwas vom Reisebüro verändert wurde):

Vorbei an der Bergstation eines kleinen Skilifts wird der Doldenbühl mit herrlicher Aussicht nach Süden umrundet, ehe der Weg wieder im Wald verschwindet. Am Jockelshäusle vorbei steuert er nun zielstrebig die Weißtannenhöhe an. Rechts unten liegt Breitnau, überragt vom horizontfüllenden Feldbergmassiv in der Ferne. Nun geht es am Waldrand, nicht wie in den meisten Karten verzeichnet links, sondern auf einem Waldweg geradeaus bis zum höchsten Punkt (1190 m). Mit jedem Schritt in Richtung Titisee schiebt sich für alle, die noch nicht schlüssig sind, die Frage nach dem „wie weiter“ mehr und mehr in den Vordergrund. Am Ufer des Titisees trennt sich der Westweg in die zwei besagten Varianten.

Am Kurhaus Titisee wendet sich die westliche Variante in eben diese Richtung, klettert mit schönen Blicken auf den See bis auf die Keßlerhöhe (1.017 m) und schummelt sich auf schmalem Pfad direkt bis zur Skisprungarena hoch über Hinterzarten.

Meine Eindrücke:

Die heutige Etappe war insofern einzigartig, dass sie nicht bei Sonnenschein, sondern im Regen stattfand. Insgesamt bot der Tag noch mehr: kalte Windböen und Nebel.

Die Etappe ist erneut das übliche Auf- und Ab des Westwegs, nur dass man heute nicht mit einer schönen Weitsicht belohnt wurde. Auf manchen Abschnitten lag die Sichtweite unter 100 Metern !

Dafür war der Duft des Waldes und der Wiesen überwältigend. Schade, dass man Düfte und Gerüche nicht fotographieren kann. Frische Kräuter, herbe Wildnoten, süßliche Blumendüfte, Latschenkiefer und Terpentin.

So war die Etappe zumindest für die Geruchssinne ein Erlebnis.

Erst kurz vor Titisee reißt der Nebel auf und man kann ein wenig mehr sehen. Nach einem kurzen Aufenthalt am See geht es dann nochmals für ca. 5 Kilometer über steile Anstiege weiter bis nach Hinterzarten, wo mein heutiges Hotel gebucht ist.

Für morgen ist schon wieder besseres Wetter vorhergesagt, ideal für die Etappe, die über den Feldberg geht.
